Opera was born with the production of the 'Prima' solenoid lock, which was to all intents and purposes our first work. There was a very precise will that guided this initial step and that has continued to be the driving force behind all our activities over the years: to apply new technologies, also from other business sectors, to access control. Capturing the potential of each emerging technology and translating it into innovative products that increase security and ease of use is the true added value of our work.
OPERA is born
Opera Srl was founded in 1997 with the aim of applying new access control with new technologies.
'BEFORE'
In 1999, Opera Srl launched its first product on the market under the name Prima: a high-security solenoid bolt with an anti-burglary rotating deadbolt.
GROWTH
As the experience grows, so do the ideas: in 1998 Quadra, Omnia and Fire Control series are created
Access control
In 2000 the Access series was born, dedicated to access control access control.
CERTIFICATIONS
Opera Srl was the first company in Europe to obtain CE certification for electromagnets for fire doors.
'MAXIMA'
To meet a market need, a new series was born in 2004 of high-security motorised deadbolt locks.
CATALOGUE EXTENSION
In 2006, two new product ranges were born: Gate Bolt, dedicated to closing automatic gates, and Smart Trim the first electromechanical handle branded Opera.
SAFETY
In 2007 Opera Srl extended its product range to a new series of safety electromagnets: Safety.

In 2009 the Prima series was expanded with the introduction of the new Prima Maxi version.
Certifications
In 2011, the range of fire alarm control units was expanded with the introduction of an EN54-certified control unit.
New projects
2013 was a year of significant growth for the company: new product ranges were added to the catalogue dedicated to locking lockers and lockers, Arca Key and Arca Slide, and a project called Opera Academy, dedicated to training customers and dealers.
PROGRESS
In 2016 Gate Lock was created, the first Opera electromechanical lock to be applied and a new version of the Smart Trim electromechanical handle.
